History
In the time of the conquerors, staking claim on a property did not exactly involve paper bills and a duly signed piece of paper. It was all about discovering a land, giving it a name, and starting a life there. Eventually land became a symbol of power and over time the feudal system became the precursor of what is known today as real estate.
